Simple Meals to Cook for Your Lady

1. Spaghetti

Spaghetti is the easiest meal in the whole world! If you can boil water, brown meat and warm up sauce then you can make her a meals for your ladyspaghetti dinner. If you feel brave (or if you have some experience in the kitchen) you can make your own sauce, add vegetables or even make fresh pasta. No matter what she will appreciate the effort. If you are a newbie in the kitchen then rest assured that it is almost impossible to mess up spaghetti!

2. Pot Roast

If you aren’t awesome in the kitchen and/or don’t have a ton of time then invest $20 and buy a slow cooker. You can cook tons of things in a slow cooker. One of the easiest, most delicious and most impressive meals you can throw into the slow cooker is a pot roast. Buy the meat, carrots, onions, celery and some small potatoes. Chop the vegetables and put the meat and vegetables into the slow cooker with a little bit of water or beef broth. The package of meat may actually have instructions. If not, look up online, or in a cookbook, how long to cook it. It will depend on the weight, cut, etc.

3. Steak and a baked potato

Most men can cook a steak either in a pan or on a grill. A baked potato is incredibly simple. Puncture the potatoes with a fork and put them into a 350 degree oven for an hour and a half or so. Serve the potatoes with cheese, sour cream, butter and bacon crumbles for added flair.

4. Paninis

Paninis are just grilled sandwiches. If you have ever made a grilled cheese then you can make a Panini. Choose interesting, fun or inventive ingredients and put them between bread with cheese. Then put the sandwiches into a pan and grill until golden and melted. You may want to lay a CLEAN brick or another pan on top to press it down but a firm hand and a spatula can work just as well.

5. Breakfast in Bed

Bacon, eggs and toast are some of the simplest things to cook. If you make a point of cooking it and bringing it to her in bed she will love the gesture more than the food! You can make a more complicated breakfast but a simple, traditional breakfast will be great too.

6. Salad

Salads are simple to make, healthy and delicious. Just buy a bag of salad greens, some fruits, vegetables, meat and dressing. Of course you will want them to go together so choosing a “theme” may make it simpler. You can make an Asian, Southwest, Caesar or Cobb salad. You can also think outside of the box and make a salads of foods that you know she loves. If you want to you can even buy pre-cooked chicken strips.
7. Stir-Fry

Asian stir-fry is the most common but you can make up any type of stir fry you would like. In a large pan stir and cook (with oil and sauce) vegetables and meat. You can make a stir fry with just vegetables, all seafood or a stir fry made up of leftovers in the refrigerator. Be creative!
